Definition: Sentence Combining is a way to express information and ideas in one sentence instead of several. It allows the [[#|writer]] to express thoughts in more concise way that is easier to read and understand.

Choose the correct sentence.

1a. The boy watched, his eyes bulging in the dark.

Effective writers can express in one sentence what ineffective writers express in several sentences.

Sentences that are closely related can often be combined because it is difficult and boring to read short sentences that are similar.

Sentence combing helps the flow of reading and writing.
